Lesson Type

All lessons are taught one on one ( no group lessons are available). Lessons are customised, taking into account the students playing level, strengths and weaknesses and their future goals

Lesson duration

Lessons can be 30 minutes - 60 minutes in duration. For beginner students I recommend starting with 30 minute lessons.

Fees

30 minute lesson - $40.00

60 minute lesson - $80.00

Payment can be made online or in cash.

Lesson Content

Here is just some of what we focus on during lessons:

• Learning and memorising songs

• Reading drum notation and charts

• Stick technique/posture and breathing

• Playing to a click (metronome)

• Rudiments (essential vocabulary)

• Beats and Fills

• Four way coordination and independence

• Musicality, and feel

• Musicianship/playing in a band

• Gear set up, tuning and maintenance

• Developing your voice/jamming

Other Services

I am often called upon to help students find the right drum kit for their needs and/or tune, repair and maintain their drums and equipment. Generally this is a free service for my students.
